This original Ercol 203 sofa has been newly upholstered in a luxurious jungle-themed velvet featuring leopards, tropical foliage and exotic birds - transforming an iconic silhouette into a statement centrepiece full of warmth, character and joy.
Designed by Lucian Ercolani for Ercol in the mid-20th century, the 203 model is part of a celebrated collection known for its sculptural beech frames, generous comfort and timeless simplicity. This design reflects the post-war shift towards lighter, informal living spaces, where craftsmanship and ease were prioritised over formality.
The blonde beech spindle back frame has been carefully cleaned and waxed, with all cushions firm and upholstery in very good condition. The result is a standout sofa that retains its heritage integrity while feeling completely fresh and contemporary.

Condition
Excellent overall condition. Frame structurally sound, minor age-related patina to the beech (as expected). Upholstery is in very good condition.

Ercol was founded in 1920 in Buckinghamshire and became one of Britain's most beloved modern furniture manufacturers.
