A well-proportioned mid-century teak chest of drawers by Austinsuite, dating from the 1960s and designed as part of a coordinated British modern bedroom suite.

The piece features beautifully grained teak veneer to the drawer fronts, framed by slightly darker toned sides which subtly emphasise its clean architectural form. The distinctive black teardrop handles — a signature Austinsuite detail — provide sculptural contrast and instantly identify the range.

Raised on tapered black legs, the chest maintains that classic elevated mid-century stance, giving visual lightness while retaining strong presence.

Internally, the drawers are traditionally constructed with dovetail joints, reflecting the solid cabinetmaking standards of British manufacturers during the period. The configuration offers practical, generous storage while maintaining refined proportions suitable for both compact and larger spaces.
