Ercol Elm Drinks and Display Cabinet, circa 1990s

A beautifully crafted Ercol drinks and display cabinet, combining the company's renowned quality with exceptional versatility. Crafted in solid elm and finished in Ercol's signature warm golden tone, this elegant cabinet offers a thoughtfully designed arrangement of display, storage and entertaining space, making it equally at home in a dining room, living room or kitchen.

The upper section features an attractive drop-down drinks cabinet, opening to reveal a beautifully appointed serving area complete with an internal glazed shelf and partitioned storage, ideal for bottles, glassware and bar accessories. When closed, the cabinet maintains its clean, understated appearance, concealing its practical functionality behind beautifully matched elm veneers.

Immediately below are two open display shelves, providing the perfect space for books, ceramics, framed photographs or decorative objects, adding both practicality and visual interest.

The lower cabinet incorporates two generously proportioned drawers, each fitted with original internal dividers, making them ideal for organising cutlery, stationery or smaller household items. Beneath the drawers, a spacious cupboard with an internal shelf provides excellent concealed storage for serving dishes, tableware or everyday household essentials.

Crafted throughout in beautifully figured elm, the cabinet displays the superb attention to detail for which Ercol became famous. The warm timber grain, softly rounded edges and restrained proportions create a timeless piece that reflects the company's enduring commitment to craftsmanship and functional design.

Practical, elegant and well made, this versatile cabinet serves equally well as a drinks cabinet, dresser, display cabinet or dining room storage piece, while its classic British design allows it to complement both contemporary interiors and traditional homes.

Presented in exceptional vintage condition, it has been extremely well cared for and retains a beautiful rich colour and natural patina throughout.
