Presenting a remarkable opportunity to own a piece of profound Islamic heritage: an exquisite, framed folio from a 14th-century Mamluk Quran, originating from the artistic heartlands of Egypt or Syria. Imagine this rare and visually striking display of Quranic calligraphy gracing your home, its elegant black naskh script and luminous gold accents radiating a sense of deep reverence and historical grandeur. This folio is more than just a decorative piece; it's a tangible link to a golden age of Islamic scholarship and art.
Each meticulously handwritten folio is a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship typical of Mamluk manuscripts. You'll discover delicate golden rosettes interspersed with blue and golden dots, precisely marking the verse endings. Red punctuation marks and black vocalization further enhance the clarity and beauty of the sacred text. Marginal gold and blue medallions provide an added layer of artistic embellishment, reflecting the era's sophisticated interplay of text and decoration.
This rare surviving page emerges from a Quran that was partially damaged due to age, and we guarantee that we have not, nor would we, cut intact bifolios or books. This selection captures the very essence of Mamluk artistry, offering a significant acquisition for collectors of Islamic art and manuscripts or anyone seeking to connect with the profound heritage of Islamic culture.

Moses said to his people, 'Seek help through Allah and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to Allah. He causes to inherit it whom He wills of His servants. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous. They said, 'We have been persecuted...'"
Side 2: Surah al-A'raf (The Heights), Verses 129-131
Translation: "...before you came to us and after you came to us.' He said, 'Perhaps your Lord will destroy your enemy and make you successors in the land to see how you will do.' And We certainly seized the people of Pharaoh with years of drought and scarcity of fruits that perhaps they would be reminded. But when [good] came to them..."
