Meredew Mid-Century Teak Sideboard — 1970s British Modernist Storage

A classic mid-century teak sideboard by Meredew, c.1970s - known for refined craftsmanship, elegant proportions, and the warm, characterful timber tones that define the best of British modernist furniture.

This example features a beautifully balanced arrangement of cupboards and central drawers, making it highly practical for living, dining, study or media use. The teak has been sympathetically refinished, with the grain now displaying a rich, even lustre and depth. The cabinet retains its original finger-pull handles and clean, rectilinear form.

Raised on newly fitted steel hairpin legs, the piece takes on a lighter, more contemporary profile - allowing it to integrate seamlessly into both modern and vintage interiors. The result is functional, timeless and quietly sophisticated.
