Presenting a remarkable collection of 18 handwritten folios from a 14th-century Mamluk Quran, originating from Egypt or Syria. This rare manuscript, penned in the elegant black naskh script, offers a visually striking display of Quranic calligraphy. Each folio is adorned with golden rosettes interspersed with delicate blue and golden dots, elegantly marking the verse endings. Punctuation marks in red and vocalisation in black further enhance the clarity and beauty of the text. Marginal gold and blue medallions provide an added layer of artistic embellishment, reflecting the deep reverence and meticulous craftsmanship typical of Mamluk manuscripts.

The 18 folios contain a total of 38 verses and are available in a preserved Perspex casing, but can be framed according to the customer's preference. The collection covers multiple segments from two Surahs:

Surah Al-Anfal (Quran VIII), covering multiple segments from Verses 7 to 34.
Surah Al-Araf (Quran VII), spanning from Verse 96 through Verse 199.

** The folios emerge from a Qur'an that was partially damaged due to age and these are the surviving pages. We have not, nor would we, cut intact bi-folios or books.

Condition Report
These folios are in excellent vintage condition with some minor foxing and paper loss around the edges, typical of manuscripts of this age.
