An exquisite vintage two-stone diamond crossover ring, finely crafted in 18ct yellow gold with a platinum-topped head, embodying the timeless "Toi et Moi" motif - French for "You and Me." This elegant design, celebrated since the Belle Époque, symbolises two souls intertwined, a sentiment as enduring as the materials from which it is made.
Each of the two old-cut natural diamonds is secured within a platinum claw setting, delicately raised to catch the light from every angle. The crossover shank in polished yellow gold twists gracefully beneath the stones, creating a fluid, romantic form that perfectly balances movement and poise.
The ring's refined proportions, lightness, and finely detailed galleries speak to the Edwardian-to-early-Art Deco period (circa 1905-1930) - an era that prized technical mastery and delicate beauty in equal measure. The contrast between the warm gold and cool platinum epitomises the sophistication of early 20th-century jewellery design.
This is a piece of history, rich with symbolism and understated glamour - a classic Toi et Moi that continues to capture hearts more than a century on.
