vatm-vinterior-23705449
Ercol Model 393 Elm and Beech Breakfast Table, Refinished

An exceptional Ercol Model 393 breakfast table, one of Lucian Ercolani's most enduring and recognisable British mid-century designs. Beautifully proportioned and expertly crafted, this iconic table combines Ercol's renowned quality with a tasteful contemporary update that gives it a fresh, sophisticated presence.

While original finishes are often celebrated, this example has been professionally refinished with a striking modern aesthetic that enhances rather than competes with the table's timeless design. The warm solid elm top has been sympathetically restored to reveal its beautiful flowing grain, while the contrasting satin black underframe and tapered beech legs create a bold yet understated look that feels equally at home in both period and contemporary interiors.

A practical slatted magazine rack beneath the tabletop adds another layer of functionality, offering convenient storage for newspapers, books or placemats while preserving the table's clean, uncluttered appearance. This thoughtful feature is one of the Model 393's defining characteristics and contributes to its enduring popularity.

Comfortably seating four, the table is perfectly suited to kitchens, breakfast rooms, apartments or smaller dining spaces where quality craftsmanship and timeless design are appreciated. Its compact footprint makes it highly versatile, while the combination of warm timber and black detailing gives it a refined, architectural character.

Dimensions

Width: 100 cm

Depth: 69 cm

Height: 75 cm

Condition

Presented in beautiful condition, this is a superb example of an Ercol classic that has been sensitively updated for modern living.
